Although this book is a bit longer than many others in its genre, I read this book in about 3 days! I love the author’s casual writing style. The book is full of real-life illustrations and practical observations about the oh-so-important area of guy-girl relationships. In a world where singles are constantly bombarded with lists of “how-to’s”, “do’s & don’ts” and advice on finding a soul mate, it is easy to think that if you are single you must be doing something wrong. This book helps free singles from that false guilt and reminds singles that the focus really should be on having a right relationship with God by living in the “Yielded Zone”. This book offers refreshing encouragement for singles. One of my favorite takeaways from the book is the message of grace. Whenever two people begin a relationship they will both certainly have some imperfections (past mistakes, high expectations, etc.), but the real test of a good relationship is whether two people are growing together towards greater Christlikeness. Midnight Kiss is well worth the read!
